Candle Care Instructions

To ensure a safe, long-lasting, and clean burn, follow these simple candle care tips:

1. Trim the Wick

• Always trim the wick to ¼ inch (6mm) before each burn.
• This prevents excessive flickering, soot, and uneven burning.

2. First Burn Matters

• Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface on the first burn (typically 1-3 hours).
• This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s life.

3. Burn in Safe Conditions

• Never leave a candle unattended.
• Keep away from drafts, pets, children, and flammable objects.
• Place on a heat-resistant surface to avoid damage.

4. Don’t Burn Too Long

• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Extinguish and allow the wax to cool before relighting.

5. Extinguish Properly

• Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it to prevent smoke and wick damage.
• Avoid blowing out candles, as this can cause wax splatter.

6. Keep Wax Clean

• Remove debris, such as wick trimmings or matches, from the melted wax to prevent smoking and uneven burning.

7. Store Candles Correctly

• Keep candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration and warping.

8. Know When to Stop

• Stop using the candle when ½ inch (12mm) of wax remains at the bottom. Burning beyond this can overheat the container.
